Upcoming Changes in ACE 7.1.0 - release notes

Dear ACE 7 users,




Because of the following changes in ACE 7.1.0 over 7.0.98 - all of you who used any release before ACE7.1.0 are required to follow this when you want to upgrade to ACE 7.1.0 –
01. Run your current ACE and DO Take backup of ACEDATA ( file-data administration backup) and save on a safe place.

02. Uninstall your current ACE ( Control Panel  add/remove / uninstall program)

03. Download ACE 7.1.0 from http://www.goace.com/ or from www.ssgindia.com/downloading.aspx the ACE7.1.0 Setup exe and save on your desktop.

04. Right click the setup exe and select "Run as...administrator" and install as per your License (Standalone for single user, or Admin / Client for multi-user etc)



Here are the details of recent changes -



Ace Improvements from 7.0.94 to 7.0.98

 Resolved issues related to History where all the history events were not showing.

 Resolved issues related to invoice, where Invoice which is saved on click of edit giving wrong information for that particular record.

 Ace7.0.94 could not do look up if the first field was empty – corrected.

 Ace7.0.98 has improved performance on re-indexing over ACE 7.0.94

 Ace7.0.98 is now compatible with different the resolutions starting 800 *600 till 1280*1024 of the screen, which was not implemented in 7.0.94.


Ace Improvements from 7.0.98 to 7.1.0



BETTER



 Ace performance has improved a lot from Ace-7.0.98 to ACE 7.1.0 in many operations like Re-indexing, Navigation, Query Search, and Lookup etc.

 In Ace7.1.0, the functionality of Envelop and Labels printing has been updated as there were issues - if we uncheck the return address option, return address should not print but it was printing.

 Ace7.1.0 has given a better labeling of fields compared to that of Ace7.0.98

 Ace7.1.0 has an additional event apart from existing events called as OPPORTUNITY event. This is to be used for opportunity Tracking by Marketing and Sales people.

 Ace7.1.0 gives you an additional export, import facility from / to XML Format.

 Ace7.1.0 has a very useful feature of scheduling Emails, which is very much necessary to send emails on birth days or anniversary or can be even used in email campaign..

 In earlier version ACE 7.0.98 - if you schedule a Birthday ( or on Anniversary ) event it was just giving you an alarm but in Ace7.1.0 - you can schedule a birthday event but along with that it gives you an option of sending Best wishes to the customer through email on that particular day.

 Ace7.1.0 has new calendar designs, which has a very pleasant look and feel. Users can now change the background color of the calendar.

 Ace7.1.0 has a multiple Internet user account creation facility, where a single user can have multiple email accounts. This was not possible earlier in ACE 7.0.98.

 Ace7.1.0 has now a new feature Synchronizing ACE Contacts and Events with that of Microsoft outlook.

 Ace7.1.0 has now a very useful feature of uploading a contact photo on the contact screen. This is supported for .PNG, .JPG and GIF file types. Now you can see your contacts in front of you while speaking to them over ACE Dial facility.

 Ace 7.1.0 has now provided a facility of giving a list of departments while adding / editing contact where they can select any of the departments they belong to.

 Ace 7.1.0 has also given a new feature of setting up the status of a contact like prospect / cold, warm, hot, new customer and old customer.

 Ace 7.1.0 has now provided a facility of selecting the role of the customer like CEO / End User / Influencing person / Decision maker.

 Ace 7.1.0 has now provided a facility of viewing the contact name in the time management screen.
